P751 - Stylus needle for MC-7
By martin frazier, 6. November 2018, 04:11.
Does the P751 use any other cartridge besides the factory one that came with the turntable. I need to replace the stylus and don't know what to do how to source. Any help would be appreciated

The Yamaha MC-7 is a moving coil cartridge, and you cannot replace the needle on such cartridges.
You can easily mount another cartridge on the tonearm. Just make sure that it is properly aligned, and that the tracking force and anti-skating settings are correct before you play your records. If these things are not in order you will wear/damage your vinyls .

Thank you for your reply but can you tell me what cartridge or cartridges will work, I know next to nothing on what type to order?
Many Thanks

Sound like you are brand new to all of this turntable stuff. I would start by attaching a basic Audio Technica AT-VM95E. This is one of the cheap cartridges most often recommended to beginners, and it is actually quite good.
